JENNIFER RUDD CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
ABOUT JENNIFER RUDD
Jennifer Rudd Case Management Services provides specialist assessment and Case Management services for adults, who have suffered severe, complex and often catastrophic injuries and trauma, including brain injury, orthopaedic injury, spinal cord injury, amputation. We also provide services to clients who have conditions arising from clinical negligence or industrial injury. We work with clients pre, during and post litigation, to ensure that they are able to achieve their maximum potential, physically, emotionally and socially.
WHAT IS CASE MANAGEMENT?
Case Management is a process which promotes recovery, function, independence and wellbeing by accessing the most appropriate services including therapeutic and medical intervention, support and practical assistance. Case Managers will help a client and their family to explore possibilities, options and ideas to promote rehabilitation and wellbeing into the future.
ASSESSMENT
Our top priority is to develop a lasting and trusting relationship with each client. We work hard to ensure that all recommended support and intervention is introduced at a pace which is acceptable and involves the client and their family in the decision-making process.
For our injured clients, our aim is to restore the individual’s function, health, quality of life and independence as closely as possible to their pre-injury levels. Of course, that is not always possible, and in those instances, we work to ensure that the injured client is adequately supported and has access to all the services they require to live as fulfilled a life as
possible.
Maximising health and well-being, independence and quality of life is at the heart of what we do.
PLANNING & SUPPORT
A bespoke and coordinated package of care and support is developed which is designed to meet the client’s individual needs, priorities and personal goals.
This will include as appropriate:
Resourcing a range of therapies which are relevant and cost-effective
Liaising with medical and therapy professionals to ensure an integrated team approach to goals
Recruiting, training and supervising Support Workers
Assisting with transitional living placements
Facilitating a return to work, including vocational and voluntary roles
Sourcing and organising suitable holidays and leisure activities
Advising on housing and home adaptations
Sourcing specialist equipment
Identifying and accessing applicable statutory benefits
Supporting appointments and meetings
Liaising with the litigation solicitor, providing evidence and attending court if required
And above all, providing ongoing support to the client and their family through an often stressful process.
OUR MISSION
Instructions are taken from the solicitor, family or fundholder to arrange an initial assessment meeting. This is usually held in the client’s own home and will include an open and thorough discussion on all the key issues and requirements, both immediate and future, that may need to be supported by a Case Manager.
A detailed report is prepared following the initial assessment meeting, which will include a summary of risks, priorities and recommendations together with associated costs. This will be sent to the instructing party, and, where agreed, the client and their family.
